Thanks Ankur For the giveaway , I am using a IDM trial from a long time and i am very satisfied with it , the only con is that i cant download the files from filesonic.com, it gives me some error {link need to be refreshed} .I love its site grabber , scheduler and video grabber ( as i need to download tutorials from various sites .)

I like IDM because its fast and can resume/queue downloads. I find it easy to install & use straight away unlike other similar products which I encounter set-up/configuration issues .

I am not sure if IDM costs 24.95 per pc per year , or a lifetime license. Would be grateful if you could clarify this.
IDM is great but a free alternative, Orbit Downloader is equally good and free.
I did not like IDM features as below :
1) cannot preview incomplete download.
2) the pop up download status annoying
3) automatically grab download link and a problem for files not supported. ( this issue seem to have been fixed in the latest release. )
I only use the trial version so far. May be the full version has more complete features.
I like IDM as follow
1) Superb speed
2) download latter option
3) integrated well with almost all file hoster premium

i like idm a lot, i tried the beta version, some features are quite nice, delete all completed, queue downloads, site grabber looks interesting but i’ve never got the need to used that.
if only the queue system can do 1 download after another, that would be useful sometimes. especially for slow connection like mine

The best download manager in the market. Its unique technology in downloading files in the internet make it the best despite of being simple, but its simplicity make the program more appealing to the users. Straight forward in its function.
What I found that really annoying is the ability to use built-in download manager of the browser. When I click cancel in IDM notification, the built-in download manager is used. I hope that this function is implemented in the near future.

Well, I am from Bangladesh and I do not have any credit card.
I have to use IDM trial,, instal…uninstal…
I really need this software.
One thing to be mentioned it has a limitaion with is.. It has no. of connetion to download which make ot download first but if any link broken later and failed to resume by that webpage/ web site…
the already downloaded files are use less. because it has separeted by no. of download part which IDM does not joined yet… this happen specially for Video files.
Software will be just use less without complete download.
Say, I have download a video from you tube through free real player.
Total file was 20MB but I have download only 10 MB..
I can able to see it say first 2min. of 4min clips… But if it is happen through IDM then all the 10MB already downloaded file has be use less untill I resume the download again and complete it 100%..
I wish IDM will overcome this in there next version , specially for Video files.
But there is doubt it Top of the all download manager in the market.

Being a software engineer , i need to download huge SDK’s from various developers and due to slow download rate of my broadband , i need a software which supports resume facility and keep my download speed constant . therefore IDM is the best option available but it’s costly license is the restriction for mine useability .

Internet download manager is surely one of the top download managers. Not only does it organizes the download efficiently it does boosts the download speed immensely. There are many good download managers available, both free and paid ones, but nobody boosts the download speed as much as IDM. It is a pretty handy app to have for your pc, especially for those who have damn slow net speed. Another important feature of IDM is it is user friendly and not much complicated. but sometimes the flash grabber becomes annoying…. when downloading via youtube… sometimes… it should be have better integration with filesonic like sites….
