Free Windows Application to create ringtones from songs: I tend to change my ringtone for my mobile very often and till now I have been using some sophisticated music editing software’s for doing this simple task. However, creating ringtones from songs in not at all a herculean task, it just requires you to crop the portion of the song which you want to set as your new ringtone and then convert the selection into the appropriate audio format depending upon the mobile device you use.
Free Ringtone Maker Application Does This Job In Few Clicks
Why bother to install and use complex audio editing software’s for doing this simple task. Ringtone maker is a free application for windows which can do this job for you, that too in few clicks and in a very easy to use user interface.
To begin the process, open the Application Ringtone Maker and drag or browse the required music file ( such as any mp3 song). Click next to move to the next step.
Now select the portion of the song which you want to use as your new ringtone. This means that you have to specify the starting and ending timing of the song. You can Play the desired portion of music selected so that you can be sure that you have selected the correct portion of the song. When you are satisfied with the new ringtone from the song, click on Next.
The application will now ask you for your mobile device. Depending upon your selection, the selected audio portion or ringtone is converted to appropriate format which is suitable for your mobile device. As of now, it supports major mobile devices such as Android, iPhone, Blackberry, Symbian and others.
The final step is to select the output path of your new ringtone. You can choose to save it on your Desktop or the same location as the source song. Click on Create Your Ringtone and wait for some seconds for the process to finish up. Click on “Show in Folder “ to view your new ringtone. Transfer it to your Mobile Phone and you are good to go with your new custom ringtone selection.

Midi is different format altogether. I wont go into the details but you would have to either download your ring tones from internet or use specific software for handling MIDI files.
The design and the way to use to program really draw my attention. I think this software really useful.

But I was just curious to know does it only trims the song or it also gives options to do some custom changes like changing the bit-rate etc.
NO, its a very simple application. Hence it does not offer such customization’s.

Very impressive app. Previously we would have to use desktop to convert the tones but this app made it convenient. Nice post
