Kepard VPN is a newly formed enterprise in the world of VPN service providers. VPN, as most of you would be familiar of, is used to stay anonymous on the internet and accessing some country specific/restricted sites or services. Initially VPN was mainly used by corporates to access their company LAN and resources securely from anywhere in the world. However, with more and more countries filtering contents for the user, VPN is becoming quite common term among the masses who were initially unaware of such networking concepts or primarily relied upon proxies for accessing certain websites or data.
There are many VPN providers available on the internet, so will the new Kepard VPN stand up to the competition? Lets find out.
Kepard VPN Review
Kepard helps you stay anonymous and provide you with a secure connection by encrypting the data you are sending. Hence, you can be assured that nobody is eavesdropping on you when you are using a VPN service. Currently Kepard supports 256 bit encryption. Such high bit rate encryption is almost impossible to break even with a very powerful computer. A VPN service would prevent anyone from hacking into your system. Since a server is actually accessing data ( or in simple words, a website) for you, any attempt to attack you online would be equivalent to attacking the server ( in very simple terms ). Hence, your IP would not be your true IP but rather the IP assigned to you by your VPN server.
This also helps you to access some country specific websites, videos and other services. This is perhaps the most common reason why a home user would be purchasing a VPN service. Kepard VPN currently provides IP of USA, UK , Canada and few more countries. Hence, you can easily access Hulu, Pandora, BBC UK videos or any other video steaming website which may not be available for your country. You would also be able to get rid off the filters imposed by your ISP or often called as “Country Based Restriction” using some ‘Giant Firewall’.
Speed Factor
A very important factor for selecting a VPN service is the speed it offers. This was the most surprising factor for me. My assumptions was that Kepard VPN, being a new service would offer an average net speed. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The speed offered by Kepard VPN was really very good. It provided me with highest internet speed my ISP could offer. I had earlier used a very famous VPN service by “CyberGhost”, but even that capped me on 2-3 mbps only. I was disappointed with this speed from a reputed VPN service provider. Another VPN provider called IB VPN also provided good speed. Kepard did not put a cap on my net speed and as I was easily able to achieve the same net speed which I usually get without using any VPN service. For very High Speed Internet connections ( which I think as 20Mbps and above ) you would normally get speed of around 8mbps. This is considerably better than 2 -4 Mbps speed offered by some other VPN providers.
NOTE: Don’t expect the same speed while using VPN as you get normally since there is another server in between which sending and receiving data. Hence, your speed is bound to come down.
Pricing Of Kepard VPN
Another crucial factor is of course the cost of the service. The pricing is normal, neither very cheap nor too expensive. It was cheaper than most VPN service providers. It costs $7 a month.

Conclusion
Overall, I am impressed with Keaprd VPN service. The great speed was undoubtedly the best part of the service. Easy setup, even for Linux ( Ubuntu) operating system was very appreciated by a Linux fan like me. Some famous VPN providers don’t include Linux settings in their catalog (which I failed to understand why). Although it is a new startup, it is still a very good choice. I would give it a thumbs up. You could try it for a month and check for yourself. Don’t forget to share your experience, review and feedback of Kepard VPN with us.

VPN software services are becoming a must-have for everyday internet usage. I, myself is using a free VPN for security reasons. It adds an additional layer to your PC security. Good to know that there is a new VPN service provider for us to try.
I am willing to purchase this VPN. How would you rate it against IBVPN or hotspot shield ?
